The Foundation was set up in 2021 in Cuneo, on the initiative of the Fondazione CRC, with the aim of continuing and developing, on a national level, the work started by the latter in 2017 in the province of Cuneo with the Donare project.
This project has been promoted to strengthen the spirit of solidarity and sharing in communities, collecting donations from private individuals to be transformed into a common heritage through activities of development and enhancement.
The symbol of the Foundation is the image of two hands portrayed in a gesture of openness towards others, an expression of the mission of the organisation which, in collaboration with organisations, institutions, companies and individuals, acts as a catalyst for the energies of civil society.
The Foundation is engaged in fundraising activities to provide assistance and reduce inequalities, in support of educational activities, the preservation and enhancement of cultural and environmental heritage and of art, as well as the promotion of amateur sports activities, scientific research and healthcare.
With the acquisition of the Cascina Gustava Vineyard in 2019 the Fondazione CRC launched a social project which:
• integrates local development, territorial community involvement, training and economic and social values;
• promotes on-the-job training for the students of the Umberto I High School or the Alba Wine School;
• contributes to supporting socially useful projects, raising funds for “good causes” represented by non-profit organisations that share the aims of this initiative;
• showcases one of the assets of excellence of the Barolo territory, wine production, famed throughout the world,
