The Foundation was set up in 2021 in Cuneo, on the initiative of the Fondazione CRC, with the aim of continuing and developing, on a national level, the work started by the latter in 2017 in the province of Cuneo with the Donare project.
This project has been promoted to strengthen the spirit of solidarity and sharing in communities, collecting donations from private individuals to be transformed into a common heritage through activities of development and enhancement.
The symbol of the Foundation is the image of two hands portrayed in a gesture of openness towards others, an expression of the mission of the organisation which, in collaboration with organisations, institutions, companies and individuals, acts as a catalyst for the energies of civil society. The Foundation is engaged in fundraising activities to provide assistance and reduce inequalities, in support of educational activities, the preservation and enhancement of cultural and environmental heritage and of art, as well as the promotion of amateur sports activities, scientific research and healthcare.
Among its first activities, the Foundation will be involved in the important charity initiative, Barolo en Primeur, to be held on 30 October 2021 at the Castle of Grinzane Cavour, together with the Fondazione CRC and the Consorzio di Tutela Barolo e Barbaresco Alba Langhe e Dogliani.
